It’s taken quite a while, but work is about to start on the missing piece of beachfront boardwalk in front of the Peregian Beach Surf club.
The 40 metres of wheelchair friendly boardwalk will finally reconnect Beach access 57 and Beach Access 58, as well as providing a new beach shower facility and, of course, better access for our lifesavers.
Construction should take about a month, and it will be carried out through the week to avoid the busier weekend crowds and events in Peregian Park.
Thanks to the staff of Noosa Council and funding of $230,000 from the Queensland Government’s Unite and Recover fund.
As PBCA members and supporters are well aware, we are passionate about protecting the native vegetation on our dunes which, in turn, protect our village.
